Playing A Dangerous Game

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it".

We've all heard that quote before, and frankly, I think we should take it to heart.  It's generally attributed to Voltaire, but some have said it was from a biography of Voltaire penned by Evelyn Beatrice Hall, who wrote under the pseudonym S. G. Tallentyre.   She was an English writer best known for her biography of Voltaire titled The Life of Voltaire, first published in 1903. She also wrote The Friends of Voltaire, which she completed in 1906.  She didn't actually say it, she intimated that Voltaire said it. So, notwithstanding the feminists' claim to the quote, I'll credit Voltaire, thank you just the same.

But think about it when you hear the next snowflake whine about hate speech, whatever that is.  One of my best friends used to joke with this witticism: "I'm not bigoted; I just avoid niggers, spics and Jews!" The humor of this is in its contradiction.  But the truth and subtlety of the statement is lost on those pearl clutchers who immediately feign outrage at those three censored words.  Oops, that's hate speech.  We gotta stomp that out.  But there's no hate there.  It's simply a stated personal preference, which all of us have.  But what if we applied Voltaire's maxim instead of being triggered or offended?  We may recoil in disgust at its vulgarity, but if we truly champion free speech, we defend the right to say it, and move on.

It seems we've unlearned the old schoolyard rhyme:  "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me."  Not so in today's infantile "woke" culture.  We're taught now that words are akin to assault.  We are encouraged to seek safe spaces from words that trigger or offend.  And we're further encouraged to shame, or condemn or even arrest those who may speak of things abhorrent to us, or to use words or phraseology that somehow upsets our tender sensibilities.

The English language is one of the most - if not the most - expressive language in use today.  It's full of nuance and form and meaning that enhances conceptual understanding.  Ideas and concepts are made easier to grasp using English, because it contains a plethora of words that when combined into sentences, make thoughts and ideas more understandable.  For example, the Second Edition of the 20-volume Oxford English Dictionary, published in 1989, contains full entries for 171,476 words in current use, and 47,156 considered obsolete. Add to this around 9,500 derivative words included as sub-entries.  Yet the average native English speaker acquires a vocabulary of perhaps 48,000 during his lifetime.

But some elitists want to decimate this rich language by eliminating certain words they don't like.  And why are the Marxist/Socialist left in this country so anxious to ban or censor certain words?  To regulate, moderate and censor free speech, perhaps?  To nullify the God-given right to speak freely and openly?  Merely because some indoctrinated snowflake may be offended by hearing them?  To spare some idiot's tender sensibilities?  Or is there a more nefarious reason the left seeks to change the language?  If you change the language, you change the process of cognition, or understanding, and yes, of meaning.  So instead of using a vibrant and expressive language to seek ever deeper meaning, and exploring ideas more vigorously, the left seeks the opposite: rigid, dumbed-down and unenlightened. And that's their goal - to transform the basic concepts of understanding so that it adheres to, and supports, the left's insane world view.

Stimulate thinking and knowledge, or adhere to a rigid limited political dogma?  Expand the human brain, or deliberately atrophy it?  I know what my choice is; I'll use my native language as completely as I am able.  But the elitists, who seek to return society to a class structured feudalism, have made their choice as well.  But only for us, not for them.

And that's playing a dangerous game.

Insanity in Review

It keeps getting curiouser and curiouser, as Lewis Carroll's Alice might say.  That would be my assessment, too, as I return from a week or more of blissful insulation from the constant assault of fake news and communist propaganda.   So after a reprieve from such in the mountains of upstate New York, I return to review the news and offer comments below.  And in no particular order.

Withdrawal from Syria.
Syria | Home of the Marist Poll: Pebbles and PunditsWell, okay, kinda sorta. First, let me say that any US involvement in the Middle East is like trying to juggle Jello.  It can't be done.  That's been proven over the last 18 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.  There's no peace to be made in that region simply because we're dealing with ancient tribal peoples trying to exist in a twenty-first century world.  Allies made today become adversaries tomorrow, because loyalties aren't necessary to nations or to ideologies, but to familial, tribal or religious constructs.  Further, the prevailing religion there is so factionalized that no foreign policy by the US would have any long term value.  But that said, economic stabilization as well as the containment of radical Islam in the region is of paramount importance.  While President Trump may draw down some US forces there, he also repositioned others in country.  He hasn't abandoned the Kurds, he's made it possible for the US to pressure Turkey to behave in ways that do not include more boots on the ground. By threatening financial collapse of Turkey's fragile economy, he's won the battle without the loss of American or Kurdish lives.  Remember that Klaus von Clausewitz observed in his famous axiom that "politics is war by other means."  Politics is deal making, and Trump is well versed in the art of the deal. And isn't "troop reduction" what the democrats have been demanding for decades?  The US, under the Kenyan's reign, emboldened the radical Islamists with tacit endorsement, arms and money, and to reverse that insanity will require something other than brute force alone.

Fake News, Fake Impeachment
Democrats Impeachment Is Not A Do Over Or A Voter Recall ...There's a House committee to study impeachment, led by rabid partisans, but there's no there there.  The impeachment “inquiry” is simply an all-for-show circus.  There's little, if any, chance it will ever result in the House actually filing legitimate articles of impeachment, and even if it somehow manages to do so, impeachment will survive neither a trial in the Senate nor a motion to dismiss. Democrats won’t admit it, but they are keenly aware of that, too.  But the charade will go on.  Everyone, Democrats, the media, and the American public realize that this is nothing more than an attempt to enhance the existing Orange Man Bad narrative:  Impeach Trump.  They won't because they can't, but the narrative will live on.  Meanwhile, what’s really at stake here that enough dumbed-down, fake news consuming voters will believe it enough to effect the 2020 election.  They hope to divide Trump from his base, which is unlikely in any magnitude.  The Democrats simply can't win on ideas because they haven't any, so they have to cheat to win.  Expect harvested ballots, "found" ballots, dead voters walking, and illegals bused from state to state.  And in addition to flat out DNC cheating, the fake impeachment narrative will be constant background noise, and it will not stop.  Meanwhile, the White House politely declined to play the game as the House issued a "pretend subpoena" to Trump to produce documents to the committee.

The Kenyan Exposed
The Bookworm Beat 8-19-15 - the illustrated edition and ...Oops.  Looks like the despicable Kenyan has been exposed as the ringleader of the failed coup d'etat that tried to take down a duly elected president of the United States.  Is seems that former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper was interviewed on CNN this week and during this interview, he defended the actions of the intelligence community during the 2016 election.  In so doing he implicated the Kenyan   This from PJ Media:

When asked by CNN anchor Jim Sciutto if he was concerned that Attorney General Barr's and U.S. Attorney John Durham's criminal investigation into the scandal will find any wrongdoing on their part, Clapper said, "Well, I don't know, I don't think there was any wrongdoing," which doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence, but then he said something really interesting. "I know, for my part, my main concern was with the Russians and the threat posed by the Russians to our very political fabric and uhhhh, the message I'm getting from all of this is apparently what we were supposed to have done was to ignore the Russian interference, ignore the Russian meddling and the threat that it poses to us, and oh, by the way, blown off what the then commander-in-chief, President Obama, told us to do, which was to assemble all of the reporting we could, that we had available to us."
"It’s kind of disconcerting now to be investigated for, you know, having done our duty and done what we were told to do by the president," Clapper added.
Wow.  Talk about gall.  These Kenyan-worshiping mutts did everything they could to smear - and frame - Trump, but now that they are being investigated for high treason, they're all whinny and pitiful, cowards that they are.  But even more telling is that it is now confirmed that the Kenyan was directly involved in the Trump surveillance scandal - er, I mean treasonous coup.

A point to consider:  During the Nuremberg trials after WWII, many of the Nazis accused of war crimes used the "I was only following orders" defense.  It didn't work; they were shot.  In fact, that defense lead to a legal precedent, known as Nuremberg Principle IV which states: “The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him.”

When the Kenyan is indicted for treason, and he will be, he'll take down the rest of the swamp with him, including our gal Hil.  I can't wait.

And Speaking of Hill
Crooked Hillary Clinton Fights For Her Life as ...I have long thought that by the time election day rolls around, our gal Hil will be the Democrat candidate for president in 2020.  In fact, I predicted that Mike Robinson, the Kenyan's wife or something, would be the Veep.  Now it seems she's - that's Hillary I'm talking about - is actually ramping up some enthusiasm for another Clinton candidacy.  Hil's been dragging Chelsea Hubble around, trying to soften her brazen evil image, I suspect.  She has tenacity if nothing else; she lost to the Kenyan in 2008, and she lost to Trump in 2016.  Now she's up for a rematch with Trump.  The problem is, she'll have to destroy Pocahontas to get there.  But hey, rigging elections is what Clintons do, right?  And Donna Brazile and Bernie Sanders - bless his heart - are still around to help.  So there's that.  But Debbie Wassermann-Schultz is a burned bridge.  But I have a hard time envisioning Warren taking a back seat to Clinton, given that Hil is roundly despised by American voters. But you know Hil - she has a way of getting her way.  Think Seth Rich, Victor Thorn and Shawn Lucas.  And those are just the recent deaths involving her 2016 campaign.  There are lot of others who got sideways with her, and who are now deceased.  But what will be the real contest is whether Hil has the political might to overcome the resistance she'll get from the DNC.  They want no part of her, her health, or her other considerable baggage.  And worse, she's just too moderate for the new Socialist-Islam-Communist Democrat wing of the DNC.  But bring popcorn.  It will be a hoot to watch.

Eighteen Years Ago

9-11: WHAT THE MEDIA DID NOT TELL YOU (OPINION) - The ..." . . . some people did something. . . "

The despicable Islamist Ilhan Omar made that remark in reference to her attempt to defend the attack on the United States by radical Muslims.  Yes, some people did in fact "do something." That "something" was that these savages hijacked four US commercial airline carriers, and flew two of them into the World Trade Towers in Manhattan, New York City.  They flew one into the Pentagon Building, and the last was overtaken by its brave passengers - at the cost of their lives - and crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania.  Nearly three thousand people died on that day - September 11th - eighteen years ago today.  Most were civilians.  That's more Americans killed than were killed at Pearl Harbor in 1941.

But even though the United States' response was swift, it differed vastly from the events following Pearl Harbor.  In the later case, we fought against a nation state: Japan. In the former case, we fought - and still fight today - an idea that flourished in several nation states.  Islam isn't a race, it's not an nationality, it's not confined geographically.  It is a cult, and must be treated as such; not as a nation of equal standing to us.  And it must be eradicated as it is wholly incompatible with any civilized culture on the planet.

And as I have explained in these pages numerous times (here, here, here and here), this constant Muslim onslaught against western civilization by these seventh century cultists has been going on for fourteen hundred years. The vicious attack on the United States, now known as 9/11, is just one more battle in this millennia-long war.  And now some of the electorate in deep-blue states have actually  elected these monsters, and sent them to the halls of congress.

One reason we must always remember history, including the Revolutionary War and the War of Northern Aggression by the way, is because if we forget treachery like that of September 11, 2001, we just might be conned into electing some of our existential enemies to govern us.

The Apocalypse Is Here!

Apocalypse!  The arrival of the end of the world.  The signs are all around us.  Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies. Rivers and seas boiling. Forty years of darkness. Earthquakes, volcanoes; the dead rising from the grave, human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together – mass hysteria.

Okay, that's all from Ghost Busters.  The real, first Ghost Busters movie, that is.  I've credited the source, so it's not plagiarism. Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis showed some serious prescience in that metaphoric comedic exchange of dialogue. But superimposed over today's events, one could very well assume that - with the similar advent of all those aforementioned events - the end is very near, after all.  Let's see if that's true by examining just a few popular notions.

Gender fluidity.  Wikipedia attempts to defined this term under the umbrella of something called Non-Binary Gender.  Gender fluid people, we're told,  often express a desire to remain flexible about their gender identity rather than committing to a single definition.  That presumably means that one can identify as a him or her contrary to their actual natural birth sex.  That means these folks identifying as "flexible" are sexually and emotionally confused.  But the pointy-headed PC elitists who seek to establish a new nouvelle culture ignore biological science, and bend over backwards to enable this oddly interesting aberrant mental health pathology.  And now we have these psychiatric patients running around loose, and worse, dictating changes to the English language, especially as it pertains to pronouns.

The Rise of Idiocy.  Look no further than the so-called "Squad," or as I call them, the Four Mean Girls for examples of public displays of idiocy.  I've decided to add a new member to the now Five Mean Girls:  Stacey Abrams will now join the ranks of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley.  These women - I assume that they identify as such - are all radical socialist anti-American Democrats.  Inexperienced, arrogant, and self absorbed, these harpies personify the loud and shrill demands coming from those who are over-educated with limited intellect, brainwashed by decades of Marxist propaganda, and who are ardent status quo protestors.  Yet the same pointy-headed elitists give them all the air time they need to affirmatively assure the adults in the country just how idiotic they and their demands really are.

The Culture of Death.  Babies?  Who needs 'em?  Just kill 'em.  Pre-birth, mid-birth, even after birth.  We can chop them up and sell their body parts.  Hey, it's a good market, and far more lucrative than running an auto chop-shop.  And - get this - it's legal.  In fact, the federal government actually pays us to do this!  How rich is that?  Morals?  Ethics?  Screw that, we're talking 'bout the Benjamins, baby.  And no, mass shootings and increased violence have no genesis whatsoever in this worthwhile endeavor.

Global Warming.  The truest sign of the end times.  We've destroyed the Earth by driving SUVs that like, run on gasoline and stuff, and Mother Gaia is taking her revenge upon us by heating up the planet, melting the ice caps and generally wreaking havoc.  Whew!  Like, that's so, like deep! The Five Mean girls have warned us that because Gaia's mad at us, we only have twelve years left to live.  That includes Bambi, pandas and baby elephants too.  AlGore is reportedly livid that the FMGs stole his scam, changed the name to the Green New Deal or something, and are getting airtime with it.  Oh, wait.  Hold on, an update is coming in.  Okay, NASA now admits that any climate "change" - change from what to what? -  is just a function of Earth's ever changing orbit around the sun.  Closer, hotter; further, cooler.  Man has nothing whatever to do with climate, whether it's warming, cooling or static.  So it's a hoax, you say?  Oh, okay.  Well then.  Never mind.

Censorship.  We mustn't forget to include the war on free speech in our list of Signs of the Apocalypse.  Normal people - by that I mean conservatives and others who are not wide-eyed crazed totalitarians - can't get a word in edgewise what with the masters of the universe dictating for us rubes what constitutes acceptable discourse.  And banning whatever they don't like - which is pretty much everything.  "Hate speech," whatever that is, is effectively banned, and is now defined as anything the wide-eyed crazed pointy headed elitists decide it is.  Worse, with political correctness forced upon us for the last several decades, people are bullied into self censorship.  And self censorship of course, brings us one step closer to the Borg group think the elitists want.  Tyranny begins with censorship, and we're already at that point.

Clearly there are more indicators of the coming of the end, but they are too numerous to list here.  Suffice it is to paraphrase the late great Jim Morrison:  Nobody gets out alive.  So there's that.  And further, a wise man once asked:  Can a tree go to heaven?  But I digress.

End times?  Apocalypse?  Maybe one day.  But not yet.  Not yet.

Told You So!

Just last week, Jonathan Carpenter, a man living in Osceola County, Florida, had his firearms confiscated simply because he had the same name as a criminal.

The second amendment with a red flag on it
Carpenter was stripped of his Second Amendment rights simply because the police received and acted upon a court ordered Extreme Risk Protection Order (ERPO) and served it on the wrong man. Police aren't required to differentiate a law-abiding citizen with a same-name criminal.  Read about it here.

Even though it was evident they had the wrong man - simply by virtue of the discrepancies in his physical description - Carpenter nevertheless was forced to surrender his firearms. There was no hearing or any kind of court proceeding.  The Sheriff simply told Carpenter that he needed to surrender his guns before any due process would be applied.

Then things got worse.

Carpenter's firearms have to remain in police custody until the complainant (the plaintiff) verifies in court that Carpenter is not the man that the plaintiff filed a complaint against.  Then Carpenter would have to petition the court to get his firearms back, and if successful, he would have to bear the costs. While Carpenter will get his day in court later this month, it's still clear that several of his constitutional rights - specifically to keep and bear arms, due process, and innocent until proven guilty - have been violated.

So here is the heads up regarding so-called Red Flag laws.  What's happening to this man is the very  situation Second Amendment supporters have warned us about.  What if Carpenter needs to defend himself and his family between now and his court date? He wouldn't be able to, because the government disarmed him.

Over a century ago, Lord Acton warned us about government over-reach, and his observation applies to any government policy:  "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Red Flags laws are unconstitutional on their face, and serve only to further empower an already corrupt and out of control government.

This man's tragic story is undeniable proof of that.

Muslims On The Loose!

Those rascally Muslims are at it again.  Never happy with anything, they just seek to stir up more trouble and controversy by injecting their infantile demands into things that have no relevance to anything remotely Islam.  They think doing so will advance their agenda - which is to instill sharia law everywhere on the planet - and win the hearts and minds of those enjoying the fruits of Western Civilization.  And they have been trying to conquer the world for over fourteen hundred years.

Let's review a few instances.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)
First, The despicable Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and her hijab-bosom buddy Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) wanted to go to Israel.  Israel, familiar with the characteristics of radical, murderous Palestinian terrorists, politely said no thanks, knowing full well that they only wanted to go there to promote their signature anti-Israel boycott and fan Palestinian passions.  Tlaib threw a fit, stomped her feet and held her breath until she turned blue, whining that she wanted to see her grandmother before the old gal passed on into Allah's loving arms.  So Israel said, okay, come on over and see your granny.  Tlaib threw a fit, stomped her feet and held her breath until she turned blue, whining that she could never come to Israel - even to see old granny - because a trip like that would now humiliate her, and Israel was so, like, evil and stuff. President Trump, being Trump, trolled the younger Tlaib by claiming her grandmother was better off without her visiting.  Now that right there is funny, I don't care who you are.  But Muftia Tlaib, the 99-year-old grandmother had some strong words for President Trump after he claimed the elder Tlaib was a "winner" because her granddaughter decided not to visit her after all.  “Trump tells me I should be happy Rashida is not coming,” Reuters reported her saying. “May God ruin him." What a loving and inspirational retort.  Radical Muslims just can't help themselves; they're just vicious and negative by nature.

Hell, yeah!
Speaking of vicious and negative, now comes the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Hamas-backed political arm of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, weighing in on the Confederate flag controversy by calling for the banning of sales of the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia at the Lorain County Fair in Wellington, Ohio. Well, now.  Who hell are you to tell Americans what flags they can or cannot buy?  CAIR’s notoriously anti-American National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper spewed his usual garbage by saying, “Symbols glorifying and honoring white supremacy, slavery and treason should be repudiated by all Americans, not put on display at mainstream venues. Those who reject white supremacy and racism can best demonstrate that rejection by avoiding any enterprise that seeks to profit from hate.” Holy smoke!  The arrogance and hypocrisy is unending with these people.  Symbols of hate?  How about the star and crescent?  Or the black ISS flag?  White supremacy?  How about the Muslim view that non-believers of all races are inferior to Arabs?  Slavery?  Tell that to sub-Sarah Africa, where Boko Haram still trades in black African slaves to to his very day.

As the political propaganda arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, CAIR is the last organization on Earth to school Americans on issues like symbols of slavery, treason and supremacy.  Islam flat out owns those.  Several Mid-Eastern nations including Egypt, have designated the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization, and President Trump is considering doing so here stateside as well.  I hope he does, because they are.  The Brotherhood has a stated plan for the cultural conquest of North America, and I wrote about it in these pages last year.  Reread it here.

Muslim Brotherhood Organizational Chart
As the accompanying organizational chart shows, the Brotherhood has tentacles on its tentacles, and as a force within the United States, its philosophy is not in keeping with the values of a constitutional republic.  In knowing who the Brotherhood really is, and understanding its goals, we must ask ourselves two questions:  Would it be better to simply ignore them for the sake of multicultural etiquette and political correctness?  Or should Americans reserve their right to challenge Islamic ideology and doctrine as well as its fundamental incompatibility with Western values, by force if necessary?  The last 1,400 years of historical conflict with Islam should answer that question definitively.  They have told us they want to destroy America, Western values and culture, and under sharia law, to enslave every single human being on the planet.

It's insane.  But it's just who they are.  And they're on the loose again.

Red Flag Red Flag

The House of Representatives passed House Resolution 8 back in February as part of the left's never-ending attack on gun owners and the Second Amendment.  Now, in the wake of two recent shootings, the emotional wailing of snowflakes everywhere, and the requisite legislative "need to do something" is deafening and overwhelming to politicians.  Even Mitch McConnell is now making noises about having the Senate take up HR 8, which is just more gun control in the form of expanding so-called background checks, and President Trump is eager to show the left that he "cares."

And it's all for show.  It's all about more rigid government infringements on a free people.  And it's unconstitutional.  Let's review what the Founders said about the God-given right of the people to keep and bear arms.

“A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
Well, that's short and sweet and to the point.  But that doesn't deter politicians at all, because every single gun law now on the books - and there are currently some 20,000 state and federal restrictions on the Second Amendment alone - is clearly unconstitutional.  So the ever expanding and tyrannical federal government seeks now to restrict gun ownership even more.

HR 8 criminalizes private sales of firearms absent that sale going "through" a FFL dealer.  It would force almost all informal, private transfers of firearms to first pass a federal background check initiated by an FFL.  Each and every time.  Give a gun to a friend or relative for a birthday or Christmas present?  Swap that old revolver to a friend in exchange for a skeet gun?  Nope.  Not without a background check and the sale, transfer or exchange administered by a Federal Firearm Licensee.  For a fee, of course.  Worse, to enforce that ridiculous law, firearms would have to registered, a long sought after goal of the insane tyrannical left.  And registration will create a database of all firearms - and their owners - and that will without question lead to confiscation.

Yet the existing 20,000 gun control laws did noting to stop the most recent shootings.  In each case, the guns used by the shooters were obtained legally.  Apparently the logic in the law-making circles is, "Well, that didn't work, so let's draft even more restrictive laws.  That should do it."  But when we analyze the shooting and the shooter's mindset, we find some instability in their cognitive thinking.

And then it gets even worse for gun owners.  Enter the so-called Red Flag laws.  That's a euphemism for the government deciding if someone is "fit" to own a gun.  Red flag laws - also known as Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs) or Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVROs) - empower law enforcement, and sometimes family members and other concerned parties, to petition a judge to remove guns from individuals who may pose a threat to themselves or others.  Great.  Your girlfriend gets mad at you, and whines to a judge or sheriff or a cop, and bingo - you're now "a threat" to someone, and your guns are confiscated.  No due process is involved at all, despite being another God-given right of an accused.  They just come and get them.  Twelve states now have such laws, including Florida, and the insane tyrannical left wants it to become a federal law.  In reality, it's just a quasi-legal way to circumvent the Second Amendment, and have government seize guns from citizens without due process.

But we can rest easier, because our duly elected representatives will have "done something."

Consider all this gun control hysteria within the context of the left's hatred of white, conservative Americans.  They are out in the open now, with calls for the killing of white people, the killing of Trump supporters (think of the movie The Hunt), the actual shooting up of ICE offices, doxxing of conservatives, the intimidation of elected officials, and other insanely violent threats.

So there you have it.  As the anti-American, tyrannical left continues to make war on white conservatives,  our elected representatives want to continue disarming us.  That pretty much sums up their intent, and it seems to me that an appropriate and measured response is needed.

If it's a civil war they want, they'll have to disarm us first.  And that's because white conservative Americans have way more guns than the insane lefty snowflakes.

So bring it on.  It's your move, cupcake.

The Fourth Reich?

Seventy-four years ago, during the final days of WWII, as the last gasps of the Third Reich were being heard, the Nazi elite were seriously concerned about their immediate future.  Impending trials for war crimes caused them real concern and anxiety, and some engineers, scientists and others took advantage of the opportunity to trade their military and scientific knowledge in exchange for freedom and protection from prosecution in Nuremberg. Operation Overcast, later called Operation Paperclip, was the US intelligence services plan to gain as much Nazi engineering, military, scientific and espionage intelligence they could before the Russians could offer them a similar deal.  It worked.  The US gained superiority in nuclear sciences, space exploration, computers, and many other advanced science and engineering aspects.  It a pretty good deal all around:  the Germans were way, way ahead of Britain, United States and the Soviet Union, and all that specialized Teutonic brainpower was saved and we were able to utilize and capitalize upon it.

https://pumasunleashed.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/obama-nazi.jpgBut now, as we Americans have been introduced recently to an entirely new aspect of our government - the one we can't see and don't control - some are wondering if some of that good old Nazi heavy fisted tyranny didn't come ashore with all those big brains.  Not from those scientists like Wernher von Braun and others, but a new version of totalitarianism that one could argue has its genesis in the philosophy and operational techniques of the feared Gestapo.  That word is a shortened contraction of Geheime Staatspolizei, which was the official secret police of Nazi Germany and German-occupied Europe.  It ruthlessly silenced any opposition to the party line, and worked with the Sicherheitsdienst, the Nazi Security Service.

If you're making the comparison of that fearsome tyranny to the corrupt and politicized Deep State that watches our every move, you're not alone.  And it's not a far fetched concern anymore.  The stigma of tin hat conspiracy theory is long gone.  Just read the headlines and news stories of the last ten years.   Consider this from The Daily Bell:

With every passing day, the United States government borrows yet another leaf from Nazi Germany’s playbook: Secret police. Secret courts. Secret government agencies. Surveillance. Censorship. Intimidation. Harassment. Torture. Brutality. Widespread corruption. Entrapment. Indoctrination. Indefinite detention.
These are not tactics used by constitutional republics, where the rule of law and the rights of the citizenry reign supreme. Rather, they are the hallmarks of authoritarian regimes, where the only law that counts comes in the form of heavy-handed, unilateral dictates from a supreme ruler who uses a secret police to control the populace.
That danger is now posed by the FBI, whose laundry list of crimes against the American people includes surveillance, disinformation, blackmail, entrapment, intimidation tactics, harassment and indoctrination, governmental overreach, abuse, misconduct, trespassing, enabling criminal activity, and damaging private property, and that’s just based on what we know.

So we can see that secret police, secret courts, secret government agencies, surveillance, censorship, intimidation, harassment, torture, brutality, corruption, entrapment, indoctrination, and indefinite detention continues to this day.  Just this week the one man who had the goods on the Clinton Crime Syndicate - and who could have very possibly exposed the deep state and its corrupt adherents - ends up dead.  Or maybe not.  But someone got to him:  (a)  he's either whisked away to parts unknown while a stand-in cadaver takes his place on the autopsy table, or (b) he killed himself in a high security prison while on suicide watch (a complete impossibility without outside help), or (c) he was "offed" by persons unknown.  Either way it goes, the point is Jeffery Epstein will not testify against the Clintons.  Arkancide is merely a sub-group of the available plays in the Deep State playbook.

So it's hard to watch our Constitutional Republic degrade into a totalitarian regime, headed by unseen, unknown, and unelected globalist bureaucrats in the Deep State. And all the while the campaigning Democrats push for even more censorship, more freedom-stripping policies, more normalized deviancy and more gun confiscation. But the blame lies not with Donald Trump, although that's what the Borg media wants you to believe.  It started long before, but came to fruition with the Kenyan's reign as he politicized and corrupted every government agency.

So folks, read up on your history.  It was only nine decades ago that another deep state gained control of an entire populace and turned that country into a nightmare for the German people and most of the world as well.

The Nazi's Third Reich started with Borg group-think, then censorship of opposing ideas, and finally in gun confiscation.  In the globalist Deep State's Fourth Reich, it started with Borg group-think, then censorship of opposing ideas, then gun confiscation.

Learn history.  Ignore the media and its Borg group-think. Eschew self censorship. Become armed and stay armed.  And fight back.

Why People Get Shot

Everyone knows why people get shot.  Everyone.  Some deny it.  Some spin it.  Some ignore it.  Some even exploit it.  But everyone knows the real reason people get shot.  Spoiler alert:  it's not really about guns.  It's not about mental health.

This week some poor unfortunate souls have died at the hands of a couple of evil murderers, so now we'll - that is, all of us -  have to endure hours of proselytizing, preaching, nagging, and threatening diatribes from our betters on the extreme left.  They'll tell us something must be done.  That we can't be trusted with or allowed to have guns.  They'll tell us it's our outmoded ideology - or worse, our outmoded theology - that causes these easily manipulated, isolated and angry useful idiots to go out and randomly kill complete and innocent strangers.

But what's really happening is far more dark, more sinister, more evil, more Orwellian than most folks are ready to believe.  Yet Hollywood has teased us with this story line in countless dystopian science fiction movies for years.  They have literally told us straight up what they are doing.  So has Orwell.  So has Huxley.  And so has Ayn Rand.  And now they're doing it.  These patsies don't just go out to kill; they are sent out.

Do we listen?  Do we pay attention?  Nope.  That's all fiction; this is real, they'll say.  Even Dan Crenshaw has fallen for it.  It's like a paraphrased scene in The Godfather:  Leave the culture, take the guns.

So that's what they want to do.  They have already destroyed the culture.  Now it's time take the guns.  They're more than halfway home to their stated goals of total domination and complete control, and the only thing that stands in their way is a hundred million or so armed Americans.

So that's the truth.  They have been using false flag shootings to disarm the population since the Kennedy assassination, while at the same time destroying the culture by defining deviancy down.  They normalize gross perversion, glorify abnormal behavior, embrace death, then vilify American Judaeo-Christian values.  Define everyone as either a victim or an oppressor.  It's working, right on schedule.

So in the end, why people get shot is all about the loss of our fundamental cultural idea of the sanctity of life.  If you can do that, you can destroy the culture, then you can take the guns.

Era Of The Outsider?

Image result for marianne williamsonWhat if, and I acknowledge it's a long shot, but what if the Democrats nominate Marianne Williamson as their candidate for president in 2020?  Of course, nothing is more rigid and uncompromising than the democrat Borg group-think, but during last night's debates she scored pretty big.  And how did she do that?  By espousing a more than traditional concept of love, peace and harmony.  The Greeks, and later the Christians, called the concept of the love of all mankind agape.

Now normally we wouldn't actually be surprised to hear this kind of thought from hard core, right-brain democrat thinkers who always place emotion over logic and experience - but we know those kind folks aren't politicians.  But in last night's debate setting, where nearly two dozen other emotionally charged democrats spewed their anger, frustration, hate and let's-get-even-with-'em-ism, she stood out like a beautiful, inspiring light.  And that could be dangerous to them in this election cycle.  She's an outsider, a healer - assuredly not a politician - and that could be an advantage when voters - alone and privately - mark their ballots in November next year.

As my readers know, I'm a proponent of all things metaphysical, of the power of thought and will over matter as it pertains to how one may choose to live his life.  So I have little criticism of Ms. Williamson's general position on the philosophy itself, but not so much of her application of it.   But no matter.  I've been there, live there, and endorse it.  So it's with some amazement and glee that I see this philosophy coming out of the hate-filled, destructive, corrupt and vile Democrat Party.

Americans yearn for a deeper, richer and more meaningful spirituality than mere adherence to a dogma, whether papal or Islamic or whatever.  They want to be closer to the source, one might say.  So when someone like Ms. Williamson presents Americans with a path to a deeper spirituality, especially in this day and age of identity politics and unbridled hate coming from the left, I thinks it's going to get some serious traction.  But is that enough to be presidential?  Who knows.  But it will attract a lot of interest.

And if and when the DNC finally figures out why Trump won in 2016, which is doubtful, it might just realize that Americans are on to the globalist scam of the two party oligarchy, and are tired of politicians on both sides of the aisle enriching themselves at the public's expense.  Trump won mainly because he wasn't one of them, and that's noteworthy because one of the abject lessons in Trump's runaway success is that he proved we don't need professional politicians to run the government.

Out of touch as usual, and missing the message completely, the DNC just fired senior administrators for not being diverse enough, which means they were white, not black or brown or rainbow, or whatever other color the left imagines.  It was done for the "optics," as DNC Chair Tom Perez defines it.  Oh, I see - for how things look.  Deep.  See my last post for a brief discussion on race.

So watch this gal.  I think she's got something going for her, not just in the fact that she ain't one of them.  Poised, cute, articulate, entrepreneurial and firm in her beliefs, she just may be their candidate.

But she can't beat Trump in 2020.  But in 2024?  That's another matter.

What The Hell Is A Racist?

If one has any awareness of the current and never-ending drumbeat of the left's accusations of anyone and everyone of being racist, one has to stop and define the term in order to fully appreciate the slur.  What exactly constitutes a racist?  What are the definitions?  And why is that necessarily bad?  Before we qualify the severity of the invective of "racist!", don't we need to know why it is meant as a diss?  Let's research that.

From the Oxford English Dictionary (the definitive last word in all things etymological, IMHO)

(Noun)   A person who shows or feels discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
(Adjective)   Showing or feeling discrimination or prejudice against people of other races, or believing that a particular race is superior to another.

Okay, that sounds like it's in keeping with the applied definitions used by all the loud and shrill voices that scream the invective at anyone and everyone, on almost an hourly basis.  But what is a race, as opposed to the species, of mankind, Homo Sapiens?  Let's find out.

Uh, oh.  Now it gets a little more complicated.  Even Wikipedia, known neither as the Internet's most unbiased nor authoritative source, acknowledges that one must consider three definitions and uses of the word "race," based on its intended application.

For the sociological concept, see Race and society. For "the human race" (all of humanity), see Human. For the term "race" in biology, see Race (biology). For belief that the human species is naturally divided into races, see Racialism.

Okay, now we have some conflicting demands on the definition of the word "race."  Race as it applies to culture and society?  Race as it applies to biology?  Race as it applies to humans?

In the Eighteenth century, and sporadically prior to then, ethnologists generally divided human beings into five distinct classes.  In those days humans were categorized as one of the Ethiopian, American,  Caucasian, Mongolian or Eskimo races.  Later, Pacific Islanders, such as Samoans were added to the list.  Those distinctions were made in part on physical characteristics such as skin color, hair, facial features, bone structure and so on.

But those definitions didn't sit well with the enlightened egalitarian elites.  It seemed, well, just too confining to the vast human spirit, as we all know that all races (whatever that is) are equal in every way.  So, in 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) issued a statement asserting that all humans belong to the same species and that "race" is not a biological reality but a myth. They didn't actually prove anything to support this, it was just a summary of the findings of an international panel of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists.  A classic case of "We all say so, so it is so."

Whew.  Thank goodness and just in time.  We must never find ourselves forced to evaluate, qualify or quantify our fellow Homo Sapiens.  That just won't do.  Egalitarianism must prevail.  Some are better than others?  Nonsense.  Damn the evidence to the contrary.

But wait.  Now I'm confused.  If an international panel of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists has determined that the idea of "race" is a myth, doesn't that necessitate that  "racism" also a myth?  And if that's the case, how can the enlightened egalitarian elites call anyone a "racist," if there's no such thing as "race?"

But no matter the facts, or edicts by self appointed anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists to the contrary, the epithet "racist" is still daily hurled unrelentingly to paint the intended target as bad, or ignorant, or worse, "racist."  So in the lexicon of our times, a racist apparently does in fact have some standard definable characteristics.

Let's see if any of these non-existent-purely-mythical definitions of racist identify your humble narrator.  White?  Check.  Male?  Check.  Conservative?  Check.  American patriot?  Check.  Trump supporter?  Triple check.  Christian?  Check again.  Gun owner?  Check.  Baby boomer?  Check.  Southern boy?  Double check.

Whoa.  That's  interesting.  The first of these criteria - skin color - is a race qualifier which is used to define me as a racist.  That's circular logic. So I guess by this standard I'm a racist, whether or not I find others different from me as being inferior.

Well then, it seems  I'm a racist.  And thank God!

Tone Deaf? Or Worse?

What's it gonna take?  A three-year long investigation?  Exposure of a corrupt media?  Maybe a Congressional hearing?  Oh, wait.  We have had all those.  And the result of all that investigatin' goin' on was that the whole thing was an elaborate hoax.  A fable.  A con.  What we did learn - not the story the hoaxers where spewing - but rather that a corrupt DoJ and FBI, staffed with appointees of the despicable Kenyan who are also loyal to our gal Hil, had targeted President Trump and his campaign in order to nullify a duly sanctioned election.   It was their self proclaimed "insurance policy" to be implemented in the case of Trump's election.  It was all an elaborate con, one that deliberately destroyed many people's lives, including retired Lieutenant General Micheal Flynn, a true American patriot.  There was harm done to other undeserving citizens, too, and those who perpetrated  this coup must be persecuted.  All of them, no matter how high it may go.  With extreme prejudice.

Yet in spite of all that, along with Robert Mueller's disastrous performance this week, stammering, stuttering and essentially debunking his own Mueller Report as well as the continuous Russia-Russia-Russia narrative spewed by the lapdog and compliant media, it all unraveled.  In public.  On live television.  But the Dems double down.  Facts don't matter to them; only intended results do.  And that's "Get Trump."

But the seriously deranged left just can't seem to grasp the reality of current events, because as definitively damaging the hearing was, they continue unabashedly with the same old Russia-Russia-Russia-Orange-Man-Bad narrative.  And the Kool-aid drinkers gulp it down.  And ask for more.

Barack Obama Joined Onstage By Hillary Clinton At DNC ...
Those idiots!  We got away with it!
But what if the radical left is not simply deranged?  What if they're not merely tone deaf?  What if there's a darker, deeper and far more worrisome explanation?  Supported by leftists in congress and in the media?  What if nothing - and by that I mean literally nothing - shall stand in the way of protecting the nefarious and totally criminal and corrupt activities of Hillary Clinton and the despicable Kenyan?

That sounds like an internal hard coup.  A mutiny.  A takeover of a duly elected government.  Planned and executed.  And all against the will of the American people.

And if so, that's treason.

RIP Mr. Wes

Oh my my. The great master of the written word, Wesley Pruden, has passed away.  May he rest in peace.  As the Washington Times put it in his obituary:

Wesley Pruden would have wanted to spend his final hours at his keyboard, deftly deflating the pompous, entitled and arrogant of the political establishment, and he came awfully close.
The venerable Washington Times editor, columnist and journalism institution was found dead Wednesday morning at his home, after putting in a full day Tuesday at the newsroom on New York Avenue in Northeast D.C., where he had worked since 1982, four months after the newspaper’s founding.
He was 83.
I've read his work for decades, and I confess that my writing style was greatly influenced by his.  He had a decidedly non-PC, hard hitting, tongue-in-check truth to his commentary.  And he could rip into the pompous elite with acerbic wit like no other.

A true southern gentleman, his soft spoken charm and humility stood out even in his commentary regarding despicable people who probably deserve much less.  And his dipping into familiar Old-South idioms was a delightful dash of bitters on whisky drunk neat.

Rest easy, my old friend.  While it's doubtful anyone can carry your torch, some of us lesser mortals will do our best in keeping it aflame.

Wesley Pruden.  He loved writing. He loved life. He always wore a hat. He was sui generis.

Four Little Drama Queens Dancing On Air

After a weeks-long sabbatical, wherein your erstwhile and humble blogger toured the Maya ruins of Mexico - well, some of them, anyway, and sampled some presumed traditional Maya food - and after returning home to witness the antics and hysteria of the notorious Four Mean Girls (FMGs), it's now crystal clear to me how cultures can implode, self destruct, and just disappear from the planet.

No one really knows how or why the Maya people and their culture - or the Olmec before them -  mysteriously disappeared, but my good friend and professional anthropologist Guillermo and I think they just "left the world."  The Maya had a strong belief in practical metaphysics, and their shaman were expert in manifesting and altering reality.  So it's safe to say that they simply left this world for another.  Our modern western culture doesn't lend much credence to that kind of reality manipulation unfortunately, so many eyes will roll when reading that sentence.  But what is, is, whether one believes it or not.

But back to the FMGs.  These drama queens are set upon destroying the greatest cultural achievement in history - the idea of self governance for and by the people.  They each have a different agenda, but have unified in one distinct goal:  Kill the American idea.

One of them wants to turn the United States into a Islamic theocracy and instill sharia law.  Another wants to eradicate Israel and all the Jews and make Palestine a world player.  Yet another wants to eradicate the Caucasian race, and make the world a Negro paradise.  And the last, perhaps most vocal and vapid of them all, doesn't really know what the hell she wants.  Maybe like a communist or socialist state kind of, where like, rich people pay for college and stuff.

The combined intelligence quotient of these FMGs is approximately one-quarter that of the president's.  So there's that.  But as we have learned in recent decades, truth and logic often fall victim to loud and shrill.  And these harpies, dumb as they are, are both loud and shrill.  Annoying, yes, but also fun to watch.

But it matters not.  Because unlike the Maya, whose shaman could actually alter reality and who deliberately left little trace of their culture, these idiot FMGs are ideologues who seek the destruction of a successful and fuctioning culture that brought freedom to all, only to replace it with old, failed and dismal freedom sapping tyranny.

But not having any spiritual or metaphysical capabilities, all these FMGs can truly do is dance on the air of their insidious nonsense.
